I'm Kayla! I'm a mom to an amazing  almost-two year old boy named Oliver and wife to a pretty spectacular guy named Brian. I grew up along the unsalted beaches of Lake Michigan and will always call the mitten state home.

I've been a photographer for just over 5 years now and I absolutely love what I do. Weddings have been my primary focus for 5 seasons now and, honestly, I would do it even if I weren't being paid-I love it that much!

But, since photography is so seasonal in Michigan, I want to use this blog as a place to share other things that are important to me. I also have a license in Cosmetology, I love interior design, makeup, skincare, baking, and anything having to do with DIY. I'm a Pinterest addict, a foodie, and a connoisseur of all kinds of Moscato (although I have been known to tinker in the world of Riesling). So, you may find things on the blog like makeup tutorials, DIY tips and tricks, or even posts of our home while we make improvements!
